Poster Printing Guidelines

The College of Engineering Technology offers a poster printing service in the CETTech office in Golisano, Room 1140.

Financial Information

There is no charge for College of Engineering Technology faculty or students if the poster is related to the college. Students require approval from faculty for printing posters.

Print Policy

There will be no reprints and no draft posters, please proofread posters before submission.

Poster design of solid backgrounds or images as backgrounds is discouraged, we reserve the right to request you to change your poster.

Use white backgrounds with colored text and/or graphics as the content of the poster.

CETTech does not design posters.

Poster Size

Paper size (read-as "Width" as we use rolls of paper, not sheets) is limited to 24 and 36 inches

Make sure your posters are using one of these dimensions as either the height or the width.

Limit poster size to no larger than 36 x 60 inches.

File Format

Posters should be submitted in PDF format.

If you’d like to test out your print before submitting it, we recommend that you use 8.5x14 or 11x17 inch paper when printing drafts on a standard printer to ensure proper scale.


We have two templates available to make it easier to get your submission right:

Posters must be submitted three days prior to the date they are needed. For special events requiring over 5 posters, allow two-weeks notice.
